If the flow domain is split into several parts and each part is meshed independently, you need to ensure that the mesh is consistent/matching at the interfaces. After meshing the first volume (on the left), the shell elements on the interface between the left and right volume have to be selected as W/o BL (fixed) for meshing the right volume to ensure the matching interface. This works for pentas, hexas and tetras in the BL.
