Many major improvements are implemented in batch version of the Extrusion Wizard to create a complete HX data deck in the background. These improvements include automatic geometry cleanup, robust meshing methods and better reporting of the status and errors.

Extrusion Wizard batch is enhanced to support bearing optimization model setup.

A batch version of the Tool Deflection Wizard is implemented to be used by the HX Job Manager.

The interface is enhanced to automatically write the boundary and parameter data required to compute weld strength.

The interface is enhanced to automatically write the default parameters used for computing grain size in the *.hx file. This will enable users to modify these parameters as needed by editing this file.

The Extrusion Wizard is enhanced to support setup of coupled analysis with OptiStruct. The interface will automatically write both HX and OptiStruct data decks. This feature is supported in batch mode as well.

Extrusion wizard in batch mode now supports transient multi-cycle analysis. In addition, it will automatically setup time step data. Hence, from HyperXtrude 2015.1, a transient multi-cycle analysis with billet skin can be performed with just two additional mouse clicks.

The Extrusion Wizard in batch mode is capable of meshing the complex geometry using SimLab application. No geometry cleanup is required in this process. Extrusion Wizard batch smartly manages the meshing process without intervention from the user.

New press database interface is very simple and improved.

Plate and coextrusion wizards are now capable of meshing the complex geometry using SimLab application. No geometry cleanup is required in this process. Polymer meshing wizards will manage the meshing process without any intervention from the user.

HyperMold User Profile

A tool to automatically perform geometry cleanup has been added. This will help the user to remove unwanted edges on surfaces and sliver surfaces.

 

 

Moldflow User Profile


hmtoggle_arrow1Fusion Meshing Wizard

An easy to use fusion meshing wizard is added to the interface. This tool will estimate element size (which can be changed) and then mesh the model such that it has a good mesh match ratio.
