In addition to the main releases of HyperWorks, Altair issues software updates between major releases.  A standalone update provides new features or corrections to HyperWorks applications or a solver interface that HyperWorks supports.

The HyperWorks Updates and System Information dialog contains two tabs:  Updates information and System Information. The Update Information tab displays information about the current release of the application, including the base installation directory, SA updates that were installed, and the versions of major application executables. The System Information tab displays the information about the machine type, hardware, operating system, graphic card, and user name.

The dialog also contains a Copy button that may be used to fill the clipboard with the update information.  This information may then be pasted into email when corresponding with Altair Support.

The Updates panel can be displayed by selecting Updates and System Information from the Help menu of a HyperWorks application.
