/IMPL/SINIT - Loading Control for Initial Stresses in Implicit Nonlinear Analysis
Description
Describes the initial stresses that will be imposed gradually.
Format
/IMPL/SINIT
1. | This keyword is used only for nonlinear implicit analysis and it is recommended to use when there is out-of balance at initial state due to initial stresses. |
Example: in /IMPL/SPRBACK, initial stresses will be added gradually (proportional to the time passed) to avoid high out-of-balance forces during each increment so that the convergence is better managed. When there is loading in the analysis, linear function (of time) is recommended for loading, if possible.
2. | When monitored volume type 3 is available in the model, the keyword is activated automatically. |
