Model Element

Description

Defines a surface-to-surface higher pair constraint element.

Example

SFSF/1, IRM=30103020, JRM=30102010, IFLOAT=30104032

, JFLOAT=30103032, ISURFACE = 111, JSURFACE = 555

Format

SFSF/id, IFLOAT = id, ISURFACE = id, IRM = id

, JFLOAT = id, JSURFACE = id, JRM = id

[, IDISP = x, y, z [,IICM=id] ]

[, JDISP = x, y, z [,JICM=id] ]

Arguments

Name

Description

id

Element identification number (integer>0).

IDISP

Specifies the x, y, and z coordinates of the initial point of contact on the I surface in the IICM marker reference.  If IICM is not specified, then IRM marker is used as reference.  If the point specified is not exactly on the I surface, then the nearest point on the I surface is computed by the solver and used instead.

IFLOAT

ID of the I floating marker which belongs to the body containing the I surface.

IICM

ID of the marker used as reference for defining IDISP.

IRM

ID of the marker used to define the I surface.

JDISP

Specifies the x, y, and z coordinates of the initial point of contact on the J surface in the JICM marker reference.  If JICM is not specified, then the JRM marker is used as reference.  If the point specified is not exactly on the J surface, then the nearest point on the J surface is computed by the solver and used instead.

JFLOAT

ID of the floating marker that is always positioned at point of contact.  This marker is oriented such that the z-axis is normal to the surface.

JICM

ID of the marker used as reference for defining JDISP.

JRM

ID of the marker used for defining the J surface.

ISURFACE

ID of the I surface.

JSURFACE

ID of the J surface.
