Using the Altair Bushing Model with MotionView

This section provides information about using the Altair Bushing Model, also known as AutoBushFD, with MotionView. The Altair Bushing Model is a sophisticated model that you can use to simulate the behavior of bushings in vehicle dynamics, durability and NVH simulations.

The figure below provides a quick overview of the various capabilities that are supported in this model:

The bushing model is populated from the General Bushing System text file (.gbs file) and the MotionView Graphical User Interface:

The .gbs file contains the intrinsic properties of the bushing such as stiffness and damping.
The MotionView GUI lets you define installation-specific information such as bushing preload and mount conditions. See also: Creating a Bushing Property File.
