The HyperXtrude interface contains a direct link to HyperStudy for performing optimization studies. When HyperStudy is invoked from the HyperXtrude interface, it can access the HyperMesh database. Using HyperStudy, you can perform shape and bearing profile optimization.
How Do I…
1. | Define your shape variables in HyperMesh using the HyperMorph panel. |
2. | Start HyperStudy by clicking HyperStudy in the HyperXtrude main panel. |
3. | Continue using HyperStudy to perform the nominal run, define the objective function, and set up the optimization parameters. |
4. | Start the optimization. During the optimization, HyperStudy and HyperMesh interact with each other to share updated model data after each run. |
|
1. | Design a bearing profile for the model. |
2. | Start HyperStudy by clicking HyperStudy in the HyperXtrude main panel. HyperStudy will automatically import the bearing length at the control points as design variables. |
3. | Continue using HyperStudy to perform the nominal run, define the objective function, and set up the optimization parameters. |
4. | Start the optimization. During the optimization, HyperStudy and HyperMesh interact with each other to share updated model data after each run. |
