The Force tab contains MotionSolve or Adams functions that will provide the forces and moment measures for either:

modeling entities that have a force associated with it (for example forces, flexible connectors, joints, and motions)

OR

the sum of all the forces/torques between two markers.

When you press a function button, the function is inserted into your expression at the current cursor location.

hmtoggle_plus1To insert a MotionSolve or Adams function into an expression using the expression builder:
1.Click in a text box on a MotionView panel.
2.Right click in the field.

Click fx_button (the Expression Builder), from the set of buttons, expr_bldr_icons.

3.Position the cursor in the text box at the location that you want to insert a property name into the expression.
4.Click on one of the MotionSolve or Adams function tabs: Motion, General, or Location.

A list of MotionSolve or Adams functions appears beneath the selected tab.

5.Select a MotionSolve or Adams function from the list.

The MotionSolve or Adams function is inserted into the expression in the text box.

6.Click OK.

The new expression is displayed in the text box in the panel.
