Use the OptiStruct panel to execute an OptiStruct run on your desktop. It eliminates the need to export the input file, to use the Solver panel to execute the job, and to select the results file for post-processing. There is also a HyperView button in the panel that will launch a session of HyperView with the results of your OptiStruct run.
The exported file can contain all or only the displayed model information.
The screen output is automatically set to SCREEN, OUT. This displays the OptiStruct output to the DOS and UNIX window, respectively.
There are no subpanels on the OptiStruct panel. All inputs and command buttons are located on the main panel.

The memory setting specifies the memory limit, and the decision whether or not to run an in-core or out-of-core solution depends on this setting. The memory default can be changed by using the system setting (SYSSETTING) option OS_RAM. You can assign a different memory limit for an individual run by entering a value for memory in Mb= or by defining the -len option in the run script.
