Shape entities are collections of handle and/or node perturbations from the initial configuration of the FE mesh before the morph.  When you morph your model, HyperMorph stores the morph internally as a collection of perturbations which you can then undo, redo, and/or save as a shape.  Shapes are shown under the Shape folder within the Model browser.

Shapes have a display state, on or off, which controls the display of a shape in the graphics area.  The display state of a shape can be controlled using the icon next to the shape entity in the Model browser.

Shapes do not have active or export states.
