You can access some HyperStudy features by using the following functions keys:

Function Key

Description

F1

Invokes contextual help.

F2

Marks a file in the most recently saved files (see F3 and F4).

F3

Scroll down the list of most recently saved files.

F4

Scroll up the list of most recently saved files.

F5

Opens the most recently saved files in the user-defined editor. The editor is defined by the HW_HST_CMD_EDITOR environment variable.

F7

Performs a diff between the most recently saved file and the marked file (see F2).

F8

Invokes the Editor.

F9

Invokes the HyperStudy Evaluation tool.

F10

Invokes the HyperStudy Post-Processing tool.

F11

Toggles the display of HyperStudy between full view and standard view.

F12

Displays the study report in the HTML browser.

CTRL + N

Opens the HyperStudy - Add dialog, from which you can create a new study.

CTRL + O

Opens the HyperStudy - Open an existing study dialog, from which you can open a saved study.

CTRL + W

Closes the current study.

CTRL + Q

Closes HyperStudy.

CTRL + D

Invokes the "work button" of each step.

Work buttons include Import Variables, Apply, Evaluate Tasks, Evaluate Expressions, and so on.

CTRL + J

Toggle between the Explorer and Directory view.

CTRL + Up/Down

Navigate steps in the Explorer.

CTRL + Left/Right

Navigate tabs in the work area.

 

For a Mac operating systems, the F1 through F8 keys may require you to press the fn key in combination with the appropriate function key. The F9 and F12 keys may require you to press fn and alt/option key in combination with the appropriate function key.

Note:For a Mac operating systems, you need to use the Command key instead of the Ctrl key.

Key combination

Description

Ctrl + Alt + v

Increases diagnostic mode (to display more information in the message panel).

Ctrl + Shift + v

Decreases diagnostic mode.
