Highlights

Transformation and Position entity is added to support *NMAP. New elements related to fluid and temperature analysis have been added. Complete support for *Parameter.

hmtoggle_arrow1*NMAP keyword Support
Transformation and Position entity is added to support *NMAP keyword.
Transformation entity can be used to define translation, rotation and scale operations.
The position entity takes multiple transformations and applies to a NSET.
Export option is toggle on by default and will remove transformation and export *NMAP keyword to the solver deck.

hmtoggle_arrow1Support of *PARAMETER
Create, edit and reference of *PARAMETER in other keywords using Entity Editor.
*Parameter can be imported/exported to solver input deck.
The parameter defined in HyperMesh can be seamlessly imported into HyperStudy.
Parameter can be a double, integer, string, double expression or integer expression.
Parameter can be created from both the Model and Solver browser.

hmtoggle_arrow1Box Trim Utility

The Box Trim utility in the Abaqus user profile has undergone significant updates. It can now remove unused entities and automatically update entities which pass through the box trim – the objective is to ensure a run ready deck post box trim.

hmtoggle_arrow1Part Replacement
Quickly replace a part with either an existing part in your model or a part from an external file.
Property, material, contacts, loads, special elements and sets will be replaced to new component.

hmtoggle_arrow1New Element Type
Fluid analysis elements FC3D4, FC3D5, FC3D6 and FC3D8 are supported.
Thermal Analysis elements C3D4T and C3D6T are supported.

hmtoggle_arrow1Table Entity
COOR3D (Distribution_Orientation) and Angle (Distribution_Angle) card image is added to the *Distribution keyword. The *Orientation keyword is updated to select the table entity.
*Spectrum used in Response spectrum analysis. This keyword is mapped to table entity. *response spectrum is updated to select the table entity.

hmtoggle_arrow1Initial Condition for Temperature

Add new options Gradient across shell Section and Define shell/Beam temperature points.

Gradient across shell Section can be used to define Initial temperature at multiple temperature points.
Define shell/Beam temperature points can be used to define Initial condition as Temperature gradient across shell/beam section.

hmtoggle_arrow1Fastener Improvement

*Fastener can be define by creating element at the provided set of nodes location or solver can generate the elements. Prior to 14.0 only *fastener with element was supported. Added support for mesh independent fastener.

hmtoggle_arrow1Contact Comparison Tool

Instead of creating surface for *Tie, solver can generate the master and slave based on the tolerance value. This tool can be used for visualization of these connection in HyperMesh. If the Nastran file is converted to Abaqus then you can retain the RBE and compered with the solver generated Tie.

hmtoggle_arrow1New Keywords Supported
*Spectrum
*RESPONSE SPECTRUM
*SELECT EIGENMODES
*MODAL DAMPING
*FILTER  option is supported for Field Output
*Parameter
*NMAP

hmtoggle_arrow1Resolved Issues
Fixed a Tcl error in Abaqus Contact Manager Shell to Solid Coupling while selecting either master or slave entity with space in their name.
When select an output block, its request types (ODB, fil, or dat) will be highlighted in step Manager. This avoid from users trying one by one to see to which option the output block belongs.
Output Section Thickness “STH” and Plastic strain (PEEQ, PEEQT, PEMAG) is added for element output.
Fixed the extra line that was added during export for *EOS under *Material.
Support the import and export of *ORIENTATION option defined in *Kinematic coupling. This issue is exist if the *kinematic coupling is defined on a set.
Supported the option “Coupled slave nodes” for the keyword *Contact Pair.
Supported the option “COMBINE=DIFFERENCE” for the keyword *Surface.
Supported the option “ELEMENT DELETION=INSTANTANEOUS” for the keyword *Section Controls.
Supported the option “INITIAL GAP OPENING” for the keyword *Section Controls.
Supported the option “COHESIVE COMPRESSION DAMAGE” for the keyword *Section Controls.
