Highlights


The *Surface element creation/edit/review is enhanced this release.

Added Reject button
Change in face selection angle will retain the previous selection
Added a new option to Adjust the contact normal
Added an option “review direction flip”, allows you to see if the normal of the surface is on the same direction

Show Hide Isolate and Isolate only and Review is enhanced to all group entity.

Instead of simple square as graphic for *Surface Element, the graphic is changed to be similar to contact surface. This way the normal of element based surface can be clearly visualized.

Nastran to Abaqus Solver Conversion:

The SPC Load collectors referred in SPCADD will have INITIAL_CONDITION as card image on conversion.
The LOAD cards referred in LOADADD are attached to all the Loadsteps in the model on conversion.
Batch conversion is supported.

 

Abaqus to OptiStruct Solver Conversion:

*CONTACT PAIR when SMALL SLIDING  NOT defined, it is mapped to FINITE.
*CONTACT PAIR when SMALL SLIDING defined, it is mapped to default (SLIDE).    
C3D8HT and C3D20R are converted to CPYRA elements.
*CLEARENCE is mapped in PCONT property in clearance field.
*HYPERELASTIC material model type OGDEN is converted to MATHE model type OGDEN with stress-strain values mapped to TABLES1.
SFILM loads are converted to CHBDYE elements, sink temperatures are converted to SPC and heat transfer coefficient (H) with PCONV.
For *FREQUENCY (analysis type) is converted to normal modes with EIGRL card (load collector) mapped in the loadstep on conversion.
Batch conversion is supported.

 

Abaqus to RADIOSS Solver Conversion:

*SOLID SECTION with orthotropic material is converted to /PROP/SOL_ORTH(P6_SOL_ORTH).
*SHELL SECTION COMPOSITE with orthotropic material to /PROP/TSH_COMP(P22_TSH_COMP).
*SHELL SECTION with orthotropic material to /PROP/TSH_ORTH(P21_TSH_ORTH).
Orthotropic material is converted to MAT25 on conversion.
*CLOAD is converted to /CLOAD.
Batch conversion is supported.

Issue with surface created on the internal element face in Contact Manager is fixed.
Review of fiber direction (orientation) on solid elements.
Export issue with *Model Damping is fixed.
