Highlights

In this release an important change has occurred in model set up procedure for ANSYS solver.  This change will influence if the model contains any ANSYS sections. It is required that users need to carefully read this change described in detail below.

All the HyperMesh entities in the Samcef interface can be created and modified from the Entity Editor.

The sections of the beam can be defined in HyperBeam. The beamsections will be assigned to the properties .BPR.

The main advantage would be the 3D visualization on the elements to check the section and the orientation of the beam.

 
hmtoggle_arrow1MidMesh Thickness Tool

This tool is available in the pull down menu Mesh > Assign > Midmesh Thickness. With this tool, the thickness and offsets can be automatically calculated after the extraction of the midsurface.

Tooltips have been added to help the users to fill the different parameters in the different enities (property, material, contacts, and so on).

•Friction coefficient is now available in the definition of the contact .MCT.
•Beam offset is now supported at the creation of the beam element.
•The BAR panel has been cleaned to support only the options supported by the Samcef interface.
•The card UNIT is now supported as a control card.
