hmtoggle_arrow1Reduced Loading with Component Mode Synthesis (2017)

Reduced loading is now supported for Superelement generation with CMSMETH bulk data entry with Craig Bampton Nodal (CBN) or Guyan Reduction (GUYAN) methods. Loads can be reduced out during the superelement (DMIG) generation run (punch and h3d file) and they can then be referenced in the residual run. Reduced loading is not supported for the GM method.

hmtoggle_arrow1Frequency-Dependent Bushing and Spring with FASTFR (2017)

Frequency-dependent bushing (PBUSHT Bulk Data entry) and springs (PELAST Bulk Data entry) are now supported in conjunction with FASTFR solution method for Modal Frequency Response Analysis.

hmtoggle_arrow1Complex Eigenvalue Analysis for Coupled Fluid-Structure Models (2017)

Complex Eigenvalue Analysis is now supported for coupled Fluid-Structure Analysis.

hmtoggle_arrow1Label for Resvec’s in H3D file (2017)

The label of the Resvec mode is modified to clearly delineate the difference between the regular mode and the Resvec mode. The new label “Rmod” is used to identify the Resvec mode.

hmtoggle_arrow1Brake Squeal Analysis (14.0.230)

Brake Squeal Analysis is supported by two step process. One starts with nonlinear static solution to obtain the static equilibrium of brake assembly. Then, the complex eigenvalue analysis to follow. It must be ensured during the nonlinear static solution that the contact between the disc and the pads is in the dynamic friction status when converged.

hmtoggle_arrow1RANDOM Case Control Supports SET ID that Points to RANDPS Bulk IDs (14.0.230)

RANDOM case control is enhanced to point to SET which in turn lists the ID of RANDPS bulk IDs.

hmtoggle_arrow1RBODY Enhancement (14.0.230)

RBADD can now reference another RBADD. Also, no case control RBODY is required anymore and in that case, all the RBADD/RBODY in bulk data will be used for analysis.

hmtoggle_arrow1Fluid Mass/Volume Output in .out File (14.0.230)

Mass/Volume for Fluid in Acoustic Analysis is available in .out file.

hmtoggle_arrow1Composite Stress and Strain as PLY Results (14.0.230)

Available in .op2 file for Frequency Response Analysis.

hmtoggle_arrow1NSGE on Fluids (14.0.230)

Non Structural Material Damping via NSGE is now supported for fluid elements.

hmtoggle_arrow1PARAM,ODS,YES for Strain Energy Output (ESE) has Performance Improvement and Disk Space Reduction Even When PEAKOUT is Used (14.0.220)

PARAM,ODS,YES for Strain Energy output (ESE) has performance improvement and disk space reduction even when PEAKOUT is used.

hmtoggle_arrow1Particle Velocity Output is Available for Coupled Fluid-Structure Frequency Response Analysis (14.0.210)

Particle Velocity in Fluid domain is available and can be requested by using the FORCE I/O Options entry. This is elemental results are supported in H3D, OP2, and PUNCH formats.

hmtoggle_arrow1ODS (Operating Deformed Shape) Analysis Performance Improvement with the AMSES Eigensolver (14.0.210)

When PARAM,ODS,YES is specified, the Operating Deformed Shape model with DISPLACEMENT output request should run faster and with reduced disk space. PARAM,ODS,YES is not supported for ESE output request in conjunction with PEAKOUT.

hmtoggle_arrow1SPCD Support for FastFRS (14.0.210)

Enforced Displacement (SPCD entry) is now supported for the Fast Frequency Response Solver (FastFRS) model.

hmtoggle_arrow1Non Structural Material Damping (NSGE) is Now Available for Solid Elements (14.0.210)

Non Structural Material Damping (NSGE) is now available for Solid Elements. The TYPE field on NSGE and NSGE1 Bulk Data Entries can now reference PSOLID entries.

hmtoggle_arrow1Output Only PSD/RMS Von Mises Stress/Strain Results for Segalman Method (14.0.210)

When VON option on the STRESS and STRAIN Output requests is specified, in conjunction with the PSDF or RMS options, then only PSD/RMS Von mises results with Segalman method will be output. The regular Stress/Strain components are not output in such cases.
