hmtoggle_arrow1SPCFORCE Output for Heat Transfer (2017)

Power at SPC degrees of freedom are output for steady-state heat transfer analysis via SPCFORCE I/O Options Entry.

hmtoggle_arrow1Transient Thermal Coupled with Nonlinear Static Analysis (14.0.230)

One step thermal transient and the structural analysis coupling now supports nonlinear static subcase.

hmtoggle_arrow1Conductance Input on PCONTHT is Now Based on the Contact (14.0.210)

KC, KO, TCID fields on PCONTHT were defined in W/K (watts per kelvin) in SI units, up to the previous release. This means that the total conductivity would depend on the number of contact elements generated for a given contact area. From 14.0.210, the total conductivity is defined independent of the number of contact elements by dependent on the total contact area. Therefore, the units are W/K*M^2 (watts per kelvin meter squared) and the definition of KCHTC (previously, called KC), KOHTC (previously, called KO) and TCID has been changed to area based conductance for this release. Note that TPID has always been defined as in the units of W/K*M^2 (watts per kelvin meter squared).

hmtoggle_arrow1Clearance Based Conductance Table (TCID) Support for Heat Transfer Subcase (14.0.210)

Previously, the TCID field on was only supported for Coupled Structure-Heat Transfer models only.  From 14.0.210, the TCID field can be input for only Heat Transfer subcase as well.
