All applications using the new licensing system have the added capability to log a project string on the server during license checkouts.  This feature allows individual checkouts to be tracked.  This is achieved by setting the environment variable ALM_PROJECT to a string.  ALM_PROJECT has a maximum length of 30 characters and may be composed of the following valid characters:

a b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z

0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 . _ -

additionally:

{ } / \ < > ( ) ` ‘ :  ? | [ ] * & ^  $ # @ ! ~ + =

double quotes ‘”’ and anything outside of the range above, including non-printing characters are allowed, but will be URL encoded in the server log files.
