HyperXtrude includes the following components from the HyperWorks suite:
Component |
Description |
HyperXtrude Interface |
The HyperXtrude interface is a user profile that is built on HyperMesh. The interface includes, and is often referred to by, sub-profiles for specific processes, such as, pre-processor, user profile, or HyperMesh. |
HX Solver |
The HX solver reads input decks and performs the computations for an analysis. It then writes out the solution in the native HyperXtrude binary format (*.phx) and also as a full H3D file that can be post-processed in HyperView/HyperXtrude Main Viewport. The HX solver comes with its own graphical user interface (GUI); however, this is seldom used. Throughout this document and in tutorials, the terms HX solver and HyperXtrude are used interchangeably. |
HyperView |
HyperView is the post-processor for HyperXtrude. To facilitate the use of HyperView, HyperXtrude writes out a complete H3D file. Note that you can post-process with the full version of HyperView, but not with the light version, HyperView Player. |
HyperStudy |
HyperStudy provides automatic optimization and DOE studies. A direct link between the HyperXtrude Interface, HX solver and HyperStudy enables shape and bearing optimization. |
HX Job Manager |
This tool starts HyperXtrude runs on remote and local machines. The tool also creates data decks for metal extrusion analysis in batch mode. |
