objective panel

Use the Objective panel to define the objective function for an optimization problem.

Subpanels and Inputs

There are no subpanels on the Objective panel. All inputs and command buttons are located on the main panel.

Use this switch to select the desired objective type.

This field only displays for min or max objectives. Click it to select a response already defined in the model.

This toggle only displays for minmax or maxmin objectives.

•	For dobjrefs, use the selector to specify the desired objective references.

•	For dsysid, click the field and select the desired system ID from the list that displays.

The following action buttons appear:

Creates the new objective entity.

Updates the selected objective entity.

Click this to populate the fields with data:

•	If the problem is a min or max problem the objective is displayed in the response = field.

•	If the problem is a minmax or maxmin problem, click dobjrefs to see which dobjrefs are selected (they will be highlighted in the model).
