The tasks below describe how to modify connectors using the following standard panels: Delete, Renumber, Organize, and Translate.

hmtoggle_arrow1To delete connectors:
1.In the Connectors module, select the Delete panel.
2.Select connectors from the collector.
3.Choose to remove only the connectors, or to remove both the connectors and realized FE.
4.Click delete entity to permanently remove the connectors from the database.

Or

Click reject replace the connectors and FE based on selection.

hmtoggle_arrow1To delete FE associated with connectors:
1.From the Connectors module, select the Delete panel.
2.Select the elements or any other FE (weld) entity associated with the connector from the collector.
3.Clicking delete entity to delete one of the FE entities will completely remove the FE from the connector.  The connector state is changed from realized (green) to unrealized (yellow).
4.Click reject to return the connectors to their prior state (before deletion).
Note:Deleting FE from a connector causes the connector to unrealize. A connector is not unrealized only if its user-control mode is ON.  By default a connector’s mode is OFF. See connector terminology for more information.

hmtoggle_arrow1To renumber connectors:
1.From the the Connectors module, select the Renumber panel.
2.Select single or all.
3.If you selected single, select connectors from the collector.
4.Click start with = and enter the starting ID.
5.Click increment by = and specify by what value to increment.
6.Click offset = and specify a value to offset IDs.
7.Click offset to offset IDs by the specified offset value.
8.Click renumber to renumber the connector IDs using the start and increment values.

hmtoggle_arrow1To organize connectors:
1.From the Connectors module, select the Organize panel.
2.Select connectors from the collector.
3.Click destination = and select the component in which to place the connectors.
4.Click move to move the connectors to the new component (any connector created FE will remain in its original position).

FE (welds) and entities to connect that are associated with the connector will not be moved.

Note:The connectors can be moved to a different component, but not copied.

hmtoggle_arrow1To translate connectors:
1.Select the Translate panel.
2.Select connectors from the connector collector.
3.Choose whether to translate using the global system or a local system.
4.Select the direction of translation along a vector or any one of the major axes.
5.Select magnitude = and specify the distance to translate

Or

Select magnitude = N2-N1.

6.Click translate + or translate – to translate the connectors in the specified location.

The state of the connector remains unchanged at the end of translation.

Note:The FE (welds) related to a connector is not translated when the connector is moved.  Realizing connectors now will create welds at the new location and the welds at the old location are removed.  This is an excellent feature to use if a weld at a specific location fails.
