In HyperGraph 2D, the Energy Distribution utility helps you to visualize the distribution of energy within a full vehicle NVH model, as a way to understand what components are dominating the vehicle response.

Energy Distribution in a Full Vehicle Model

1.The model is typically broken into a hierarchy of subsystems and components, allowing you to view and compare energy results in a similar, hierarchical way.
2.Different components may be represented using different types of models, allowing you to view and compare the energy of a finite element model and modal-based model.
3.Bushings and mounts often have higher levels of energy to show the energy associated with connections at a proper level.

To meet the needs described above, the following comparator groups are created to ensure that the energy comparison within the group makes practice sense.  Typically, energy results from finite element solvers are output for elements and CMS SEs, which can be difficult to relate to the subsystem and component to which they belong.  As a result, a set of module and connection ID mapping files are used to map the raw solver results to the appropriate module or components at the specific comparator levels.  The module and connection ID mapping files can be automatically generated as a part of the analysis job package, if the frequency response analysis job is setup using the Analysis Manager in the NVH Director.
