Energy Distribution Analysis - Load Tab

hmtoggle_plus1To load a Energy Distribution Analysis file:
1.From the NVH-Utilities tab, click the Energy Distribution Analysis icon, energyDistribution-24.
2.From the Load sub-tab, in the Energy Results field, select an OptiStruct .h3d file.
3.Click Load.

Load Tab

After you've loaded a file, click Group Details under the Comparator Group section to view the energy comparator group details, or move on to the Result Selection section.

In the Result Selection section, select a Subcase and an Energy Type from the drop-down menus, then click System Energy.  The available energy types are kinetic energy, strain energy and damping energy.  The System Energy button initiates the calculation of the total energy of the system over the available frequency range.  A system total energy line curve is plotted once the calculation is completed.

Energy type

Select one of the available energy types:

•Kinetic Energy
•Strain Energy
•Damping Energy
