To open the Browser Configuration dialog, right-click in the Link Entity browser and select Configure Browser from the context menu. Use the options available in this dialog to alter the columns that display in the Link Entity browser, and change how special features, such as the find between, operate.
Direct Link OnlyBy default, both indirect and direct links are displayed in the Connector Entity browser. In both the Part link view and Component link view, to only display direct links, select the Direct link only checkbox in the Browser Configuration dialog, Local Options section. Selecting this checkbox does not turn off the display of indirect links for both Part and Component link views. In the Component link view, with Direct link only selected, indirect links will be turned off for components only. If you also want to turn off the display of indirect links for parts, go to the Part link view and select Direct link only in the Browser Configuration dialog.
About Indirect LinksBy default, a node link is also displayed as a component link in the Component link view. For example, components are shown as a link when a node that belongs to an element belongs to a component, an element belongs to a component, or a surface belongs to a component. When Direct link only is selected, the Part link view only displays real part links and the Component link view only displays real component links. Use the table below to determine which link types will be interpreted as a component or park link based on view you are using.
Find Connectors Between WithEnables you to dictate the behavior of the find between tool.
Filter View on Show/Isolate/Find (affects all views)This filter is the only filter that works on both browser lists simultaneously. Once activated, when performing a show, isolate or find operation, the link entity list and the connector list are filtered down to the considered entities. See below example, which shows the isolation of the windscreen components including their attached connectors. The strings entered in the Query Builder (last_celink_review) and (last_ce_review) illustrate that the lists have been filtered. To remove the filter and display the full lists, click "x" on the right side of the Query Builder. The last review filter can be reused in the Query Builder, and can also combined with other attribute filters. The image below displays a list of available filters for the connector list. |
AutofitUse this option in combination with the other view option toggle buttons and show, hide, isolate, or isolate only, or in combination with the advanced action buttons. After an action is performed, the newly found connectors are placed in the middle of the screen. If this option is used in combination with one of the previously mentioned buttons, it works like a pure fit view. Link entity Isolated with the Autofit option activated
Stripe BackgroundAlternates the background colors of each line in the browser.
Autocolor visualization ModeWith this mode activated, the Connector browser takes over the control of the element visualization mode from the Visualization panel. Elements will be colored by component, by property, or by part, depending on which connector link view is activated. |
