Highlights

This release includes several improvements for the Crash interfaces. A new seat belt entity is introduced that allows you to easily create and modify a seatbelt during the session. For the Pedestrian Impact Tool, EuroNcap protocol 7 and 8 are now supported.

The seatbelt entity is introduced. This entity allows you to update the seatbelt generated during the HyperMesh session.
A new algorithm enables you to define a belt path with more than 3 nodes.
The position of the nodes that define the belt path can be changed modified interactively. This feature allows you to control the location and quality of the belt generated.
Default material, property and contacts are automatically generated.

hmtoggle_arrow1Pedestrian Impact Tool
EuroNcap protocol 7.0 and 8.0 are now supported.
Upper and lower leg impact points are automatically generated
Velocity of the upper leg impactor is computed automatically
-Marking, positioning and export of adult and child points can be done at the same time
In the “position impactor” step, the user can export transformation and velocity cards for selected target points (RADIOSS only)
Reorganized the export to improve performance. The vehicle, contacts, transformations and impactor are exported in separate includes.
A tutorial is now available to guide the user through the process (CRASH-2200: Pedestrian Head Impact Simulation)

hmtoggle_arrow1Relative Displacement

A new function has been added to remove rigid body motion from time history results. Supported solvers include RADIOSS, LS-Dyna, and PamCrash.  This tool is available under the Safety Tools menu when the Vehicle Safety Tools preference file is loaded in HyperGraph/HyperView.  The function is very similar to plotting data from HyperView with tracking system on with Plane option.

hmtoggle_arrow1Unit Support for Injury Functions

All the safety injury functions under the Injury drop down menu are now unit supported.  There is no need for manually scaling the curves if units are enabled in HyperGraph.

crash_14_08

Below is an example for Clip.  Without units enabled, you need to manually define the scale factors for the curve since the expected units are g vs sec.

crash_14_09

With Units enabled for the session, HyperGraph will recognize the units for curve and appropriately scale it to give the proper injury result.
