This release includes several major usability improvements for HyperCrash: multi-edit enables you to modify multiple entities of the same subtype quickly; orthotropic material orientation can reviewed for shell and solids (RADIOSS only). Model checker is customizable and can be modified to follow company best practices/standard.
This enhancement allows to edit and modify multiple entities of the same type very quickly. For example: change the element formulation for a number of properties, update a flag in a number of contacts. This feature is available on the following pages:
The material direction of shell elements can be reviewed from:
A number of enhancement have been made to allow the user to customize the Model Checker:
A new projection method is implemented and enables user to accurately report the number of untied nodes in a given tied contact. The level of the check in the Model Checker has been adjusted to match the level that will be reported by the solver based on the contact definition.
Search and filtering capabilities are available in generic panel; select in model and property/material file window. Entities can be searched by name, by ID, ID range, and so on. Similar search capabilities are also available in the Model browser, but filtering is currently not available.
Parameters defined to run pre-simulation for dummy positioner and seat deformer can be customized and saved as a user profile. This profile is saved in the preference file and kept across session.
A slider bar allows to control the orientation of the end vector and the position of the middle node.
The monitored volume panel now use the generic page. All entities related to monitored volume can be created and modified from this page. The porous surface are now supported for AIRBAG1 and COMMU1. It is also possible to convert old airbag definition (AIRBAG, COMMU, FMVBAG) to the new format (AIRBAG1, COMMU1, FMVBAG1).
Multi-strand elements can now be created from the Seatbelt Generator page.
A new extraction logic is available and can be activated by activating the environment variable HC_ADVANCED_CONNECTION_EXTRACTION in the hypercrash.tcl file. This new extraction logic does not change the model definition. The connection are extracted based on part name, logical connection are created by type and organized into the corresponding panel. Automatically organized into the correct connection type. If the environment variable is activated, HyperCrash will propose to automatically extract the connection from the imported file (if any detected).

Creation and modification of all *SET_TYPE_GENERAL is now available from the Set panel.
All information stored after *END that HyperCrash does not recognize is now maintained in I/O. This allows users to keep comments or metadata written by other pre-processors. Note that only I/O is ensured; the information that is not supported will not be updated during the session in case of renumbering, delete, remeshing, and so on.
