hmtoggle_arrow1Rotor Dynamics Cards

The cards required for Rotor Dynamics analysis in OptiStruct is now supported in the HyperMesh OptiStruct interface. The following cards have been added:

RGYRO, ROTORG, RSPINR, UNBALNC, PARAM_WR3, PARAM_WR4, PARAM_GYOAVG and RSPEED

 

hmtoggle_arrow1Tooltip Help in OptiStruct Interface

Tooltip help is provided for OptiStruct cards in the Entity Editor to help you choose the right option. This avoids you from needing to open the full solver online help. View the Tooltip help by moving the cursor on the key options in element type or property options in property card.

 

hmtoggle_arrow1Lattice Optimization Card Support

A lattice optimization card is now supported in the Topology panel. Lattice control parameters are supported under a new subpanel with Lattice params. The following cards have been added:

LATTICE and all parameters in LATPRM.

 

hmtoggle_arrow1CONTACT Enhancements
The following options are supported under CONTACT card: CLEARANCE, TRACK with SMALL and FINITE option, SMOOTH.
PCONT card: Negative value (STIFF = Real < 0.0) to define stiffness scaling factor.

 

hmtoggle_arrow1SECTION Card Support

Defines a specific face of a cross-section of the model. The section is determined through a set of grid points and the particular face is specified by a set of elements.

The Resultant Section Force and Resultant Section Moment can be specified as responses via RTYPE=RESFORCE in DRESP1. The ATTA field specifies whether Resultant Section Force components (1,2,3) or Resultant Section Moment components (4,5,6) are selected. The ATTi fields should reference the Identification Numbers of the SECTION Bulk Data Entry that define the cross-section.

Heat transfer SUBCASE reference in structural SUBCASE through TEMP card.
Handling of OMIT card during import and export.
New Solver option in the Import browser to import models with ANSA and PATRAN comments; by default, option is ON.
LOCATION option support in STRAIN output.

Support of axisymmetric elements results from OptiStruct generated OP2 files.

Linear subcase is mapped correctly after conversion from Abaqus to OptiStruct.
