The macro command .ZYG is now supported as group (contact type) under the Interfaces panel. This command basically helps you to idealize a full scale model into a cyclic or periodic symmetry model. It glues a group of slave nodes of one end to a group of master facets at the other end. In this release, you can also create .ZYG with an automatic mode. In this case no groups of slave nodes and of master facets are required.

Upon import of a Samcef deck, HyperMesh now recognizes keywords with both upper and lower case characters.

In this release, the material card in HyperMesh allows you to attach a curve or plot to respective material attributes (For example, Young’s modulus, Poisson’s ratio etc.).

In this current release, you can specify distance as input for NEXCE for .ETA card as well. A similar parameter was supported under .PHP SHELL from the previous release. This allows you to define the offset distance of the composite element from its actual center.

In the current release, both “I” and “J” parameters are used to write out the list of elements under the .HYP macro. These parameters write only the first and the last element number respectively. This way of writing allows you to analyze and maintain the solver deck with less effort as it is very compact.

In the current release, while defining initial time and final time for a nonlinear analyses using parameter TIME under .SUB macro command, you can also specify real numbers along with the inter numbers. Previous releases used to take only integer numbers as input. Also, a new parameter is added called INTERMEDIATE TIME, where you can specify time steps between the initial and the final time.
