hmtoggle_arrow1Using Non-linear Finite Element Bodies

Certain models containing NLFE components may not solve with max_order > 2. Try to set the max_order to 1 or 2 and re-run your model

The damping parameter for NLFE components is a coefficient for a Rayleigh damping model. Since this is a numerical damping, it is advised to start from a value of 0 in your model, since critical damping can be achieved with a small value and a larger value may yield unrealistic results.

hmtoggle_arrow1Wrong Results with Custom Elements for a Specific Scenario

When using a custom element definition (including <Force_JointFriction>) that uses GFORCE with the ground being defined as the I body, the results may be incorrect. As a workaround, insert a dummy body between the ground and the J body.
