/PROP/TYPE19 - Ply Information for Sandwich Shell Property Set

Description

This property set is used to define the ply property set used in ply-based composite definition. It is used in combination with /PROP/STACK (/PROP/TYPE17) or /PROP/TYPE51 to create ply-based sandwich composite properties.

hmtoggle_plus1Comments
1.This ply property is used in combination with /PROP/STACK (/PROP/TYPE17) or /PROP/TYPE51 to create ply-based sandwich composite properties.
2.If both grsh4n_ID =0 and grsh3n_ID = 0, all elements in the part that reference this property belong to the ply.
3.If drape_ID is defined, the angle of each element defined in the drape is incremented by /DRAPE, and the thickness is modified by the ply thinning factor /DRAPE, Thinning.
4.The ply can be attached to a group of shell elements.

The angle for ply i (in /PROP/STACK):

where, is defined in the /PROP/STACK.

5.If def_orth = 2, the angle between the reference direction and the first direction of orthotropy is:

where, is the angle increment defined in the drape option drape_ID (if any) and is defined in the /PROP/STACK for layer.

If def_orth = 1, the angle between the shell skew and the first direction of orthotropy is:

where, is the angle increment defined in the drape option drape_ID (if any) and is defined in the shell (/SHELL or /SH3N).

If def_orth = 1, Iskew, VX, VY, and VZ from the /PROP/STACK and /PROP/TYPE51 input are ignored.
