Location: Advanced Joints panel - Connectivity tab

Advanced Joint type
drop-down menu

select an advanced joint type.

Body 1

the first body constrained by the advanced joint field is automatically populated.

Body 2

the second body constrained by the advanced joint.

Note - In the MotionSolve SolverMode, this body is automatically selected based on the body that the Reference Marker is attached to.

In the ADAMS SolverMode, this body can be selected explicitly.

Surface 1

the surface on body 1 which will be constrained to the surface on body 2.

Surface 2

the surface on body 2 which will be constrained to the surface on body 1.

Ref Marker 1

the surface origin will be placed at the location of the reference marker 1.

Ref Marker 2

the surface origin will be placed at the location of the reference marker 2.
