Joints Panel - Initial Conditions Tab

The Initial Conditions tab allows you to define the initial conditions of a non-compliant joint.  This tab applies to revolute, translational, and cylindrical joints.

Use:

To:

Displacement

enter the initial displacement of the non-compliant joint.

Note - Displacement initial condition is not currently supported by MotionSolve.  This option can be used when building models for ADAMS Solver.

Velocity

enter the initial velocity of the non-compliant joint.

For cylindrical joints, click on Rotation or Translation to specify the initial condition.
