Use the Markers panel to create, review and update sensor entities. The sensor entity directly corresponds to the OptiStruct MARKER definition which is used only in Multi-Body Dynamics Analysis.
Note: | There is no graphical representation for Markers in HyperMesh. The review functionality will allow you to visualize the node and coordinate system referenced by the Marker. |

Subpanels and Inputs
The Markers panel contains the following subpanels and command buttons:
Use the Create subpanel to create a new marker, and includes the following options:

Type a name for the new marker in this field, or select an existing marker by double-clicking marker name = and selecting the desired marker.

color:
|
Click to choose a color for the marker. Remember that this will only be visible in the Model browser; markers have no visual representation in the graphics area.

location: node
|
Use the node selector to choose only 1 node to define the location of the marker.
|
orientation: system
|
Use the system selector to choose a coordinate system that defines the orientation of the marker. If no system is selected, then the global system is the default.
|
orientation: edit
|
If the desired coordinate system does not already exist, click edit to bring up the Systems panel for quick access to creating a new one.

Use the Update subpanel to update an existing marker, and includes the following options:

Select an existing marker by double-clicking markers, checking the desired one in the list, and clicking select.

Click review and select a marker to visualize. The referenced node and system will highlight.

After selecting a marker and changing its location, orientation or color, click update. A new, temporary panel opens, with checkboxes to allow you to select any combination of these characteristics to update.
