The Options panel allows you to set default parameters for XY plots, bar charts, complex plots, and polar plots.  You can access the Options panel from the HyperGraph 2D Preferences menu, or by selecting the Options icon from the toolbar.  The options available on the panel are dependent upon the currently selected plot type.
