Directory

The Directory, located to the right of the Explorer, displays all of the files in the current study folder (the study in use in the Explorer). In the Directory, view the study folder and access the Directory context menu. You can also drag model files and output files into the work area to create models and output responses.

A Study folder consists of:

•	The study file (.xml) at the root level.

•	An /approaches folder with one sub-folder per approach (as added in the study Explorer).

•	A report folder (/rpt) where all images and HTML files created during the execution of the study are placed.

The Directory context menu can be used for diagnostic and supplemental investigation after a simulation is complete. Access the context menu by right-clicking in the Directory.

The Directory context menu offers the following features:

•

Open

open a specific file in the study folder.

•

Open with

load output files (.h3d, .hml, or .hm) in HyperWorks, HyperMesh and HyperMath for further investigation.

•

Go To

navigate from the Directory to the Explorer. For example, when you right-click on a folder or file and then select Go to > Study Explorer view; the corresponding section in the Explorer will be displayed.

Diff:

compare two files, to verify different outputs.
