When you create a study or open an existing study, it will appear in the Explorer. The Explorer provides you with an organized, step-by-step guide, to create a study and learn about the system under investigation. From the Explorer, you can review study details, identify batch commands, setup your study, add approaches, and access the Explorer context menu.
Throughout the study, each step will display one of the following status checkboxes:
An empty checkbox indicates that this is the next step that needs to be completed. |

A white check mark indicates that you can proceed on to the next step in the study. This step may have an optional work button to perform tasks such as: Evaluate Expressions, Launch Post Processing and Create Report. |

A green check mark indicates that the step has been completed. |
|
A red X indicates that an action in this step is not yet allowed. |
|
A yellow caution sign is a warning of possible changes in the step since it was first performed.

The Explorer consists of the following sections:
The first section in the Explorer is Study. In this section, review study details and approaches, and identify batch commands. |
The second section in the Explorer is Setup. In this section, define your model, input variables, and output responses. When setting up your Study, each step must be completed before progressing on to the next step.

The third section in the Explorer is the approaches. Once the study Setup is complete, an unlimited combination of approaches (DOE, Fit, Optimization and Stochastic) can be added.Add an approach by right-clicking in the Explorer and selecting Add Approach from the context menu. Approaches can be manipulated from within the Explorer using the context menu. Access the context menu by right-clicking in the Explorer. Aside from being able to add approaches, the Explorer context sensitive menu offers the following features:
