1. | PTADJST can be referred by PTADD or by the PRETENSION command in the subcase directly. |
2. | Pretensioning adjustment shortens the pretensioned bolt by “removing” the set amount of material. This represents the effect of turning the nut by a set distance (number of turns). |
3. | Pretensioning adjustment using PTADJST can also be used to define additional shortening to a pretensioned section. Therefore, when adjustment is applied to a section that has already been pretensioned, the final effect will be a sum of the status reached in the preceding pretensioning subcase plus the amount of adjustment through PTADJST. |
