Inplane Joint

Location: Joints panel - Connectivity tab

Joints panel - Connectivity tab for an Inplane Joint

Use:

To:

Joint type
drop-down menu

select a joint type.

Body 1

select the first body constrained by the joint.

Body 2

select the second body constrained by the joint.

 

 

Origin

define the location of the joint for Body 1.

Vector1/Vector2

Inplane Joint (plane)

A point or vector that lies in the plane of the inplane joint (plane).

Point/Vector

Inplane Joint (normal)

A point or vector that defines the normal to the plane of the inplane joint (normal).

Normal/Inplane

Inplane Joint (normal) – Used when a point or vector is used to define a normal to the plane of the inplane joint.

Inplane Joint (plane) – Used when two points, two vectors, or a point and vector are used to define the plane of the inplane joint.
