Analytical Rigid Surface

The Analytical Rigid Surface option helps you define the *SURFACE, TYPE = CYLINDER, REVOLUTION or SEGMENTS card. When you select this option and click Create… the Analytical Rigid Surface dialog appears.

There are four tabs in this dialog:

Define

Adjust Normal

Rigid Body

Optional Parameters

Each tab of the Analytical Rigid Surface dialog contains the following buttons:

Surface color

Changes the color of the current surface in the display.

Review

Reviews the current surface by highlighting line segments and generated revolute or swept surfaces in white. Right-click on the Review button to clear the review selections.

Close

Updates the Engineering Solutions database with the optional parameters that you specified and closes the Analytical Rigid Surface window.
