1. | For truss elements, if the cross section variation is computed as: |

where, is the Poisson’s ratio given in the material law.
2. | The truss is activated only if: |

The current distance between truss nodes is smaller than the initial length minus Gapini.
3. | Gapini should be Gapini > 0. Negative Gapini will be treated as 0. The truss will not be activated in tensile. |
