Parallel Axes Joint

Location: Joints panel - Connectivity tab

Joints panel - Connectivity tab for a Parallel Axes Joint

Use:

To:

Joint type
drop-down menu

select a joint type.

Body 1

select the first body constrained by the joint.

Body 2

select the second body constrained by the joint.

 

 

Origin

define the location of the joint for Body 1.

Point/Vector

Parallel Axes Joint (normal)

A point or vector that defines the axes of the parallel axes joint (normal).

Point2/Vector2

Parallel Axes Joint (plane)

A point or vector that lies in the plane of the parallel axes joint (plane).

 

 

 

Normal/Inplane

Parallel Axis Joint (normal) – Used when a single point or vector is used to define the axes of the parallel axis joint.

Parallel Axis Joint (plane) – Used when two points, two vectors, or a point and a vector are used to define the parallel axis joint plane.
