The Points panel allows you to add points to models and edit point coordinates.  Each point has a set of x, y, z coordinates.

The Points panel contains the following tabs:

hmtoggle_plus1To add a point to a system:
1.From the Project Browser, select the system to which the point is to be added.
2.Right-click on a system folder in the Project Browser and select Add > Reference Entity > Point from the context menu.

OR

-Right-click on a point folder in the Project Browser and select Add Point from the context menu.

OR

-Right-click the Points panel button point-24 on the Reference toolbar.

The Add Point or Point Pair dialog is displayed.

3.Assign a label to the point.

The point label can be changed at any time.

4.Assign a variable name to the point.

The variable name is required and cannot be changed after it is defined.

5.Select Single to create an individual point or Pair to create a symmetric point pair.
6.Click OK.

The point is added to the system.  The coordinates of the point are defaulted to 0, 0, 0.
