PARAMi

Parameter name. See below for valid names.

VALi

Parameter value.

(Real, Integer, or Character)

The available parameters and their values are listed below (click the parameter name for detailed parameter descriptions).

Parameter

Brief Description

Value

BUCKSF

Controls the value of the Buckling Safety Factor of the Euler Buckling Force for the beams in the second stage of Lattice Optimization.

Real ≥ 0.0
Default = 1.0

CLEAN

Controls activation of the Beam Cleaning Procedure in Lattice Optimization.

YES or NO
Default = YES

LATLB

Controls the Automatic Reanalysis at the end of the first phase of Lattice Optimization.

AUTO, USER or CHECK

Default = USER

LATTICE

For Lattice Optimization, the application of the Stress NORM method, the beam cleaning process, and Euler Buckling constraints in the second phase are controlled by the automatically generated parameter LATPRM, LATTICE,YES. It is not recommended to reset this parameter to NO.

YES or NO
Default = YES

MAXRAD

Used to set the Upper Bound of the Design Variables (radii) in the Lattice Sizing Optimization Phase. This parameter should be added to the model during the 1st Phase (Topology optimization) of Lattice Structure Optimization.

Real ≥ 0.0
Default = Blank

MINRAD

Depending on the LATPRM,CLEAN value, MINRAD is either used to set the Lower Bound of the Design Variables in the Lattice Sizing Optimization Phase, or the minimum radius value for Beam Cleaning.

Real ≥ 0.0
Default = See detailed description

OSSRMSH

Parameter to activate smoothing (via OSSmooth) and Remeshing.

Blank or Real > 0.0
Default = Blank

POROSITY

Controls the porosity (amount of intermediate densities) in the model in Phase I of Lattice Structure Optimization.

< HIGH, MED, or LOW >
Default =HIGH

R2LRATIO

Depending on the LATPRM,CLEAN value, R2LRATIO is used to set the minimum radius-to-length ratio for Beam Cleaning.

Real ≥ 0.0
Default = 0.01

STRMETH

Controls the Stress Constraint method (LATSTR on the LATTICE continuation line) for the second phase of Lattice Optimization.

<PNORM or FSD>
Default = PNORM

TETSPLT

Turns on the splitting of all non-design or solid elements to Tetrahedral elements for further usage in 3D print software (this is performed during the second optimization stage).

<YES or NO>
Default = NO

Comments

1.Some of the parameters may also be defined as separate entities in the I/O section of the deck, using the Previous (OS3.5) Input Format. Only one definition is allowed.
2.This card is represented as an opticontrols in HyperMesh.
