Definition

In RADIOSS, a kinematic condition is a nodal constraint applied to a set of nodes. There are several different types of nodal constraints:

Rigid Wall
Rigid Body
Boundary Conditions
Tied Interface
Cylindrical Joint
Rigid Link
Gear Type Joint

Numerical methods available in RADIOSS that apply to the kinematic conditions are:

Penalty method

- Rigid walls

Master slave kinematic condition

- Interface type 2, rigid body

Local kinematic condition

- Rigid link, cylindrical joint

Lagrange multiplier

- Old and new interfaces, rigid wall, rigid body, etc.
