The body coordinate system (BCS) is used to define a local reference frame for the body.

Use Body
coordinate system

Check this option to define the body coordinate system to something other than Global.

Origin

Point

Select the origin of the local body reference frame.

Orientation

Refer to Methods of Orientation for a Coordinate System for additional information.

MotionView creates an implicit marker - Marker LPRF belonging to the body.

Adams defines all markers associated with a body with respect to the local part reference frame.  MotionSolve defines all markers with regard to the Global Coordinate System (GCS).

In the MotionSolve result plot files (*.mrf or *.abf), the part positions and orientation that are reported are those of the body coordinate system.

NoteThis tab is not currently available for a Point Mass body.

For a Deformable body, specifying a body coordinate system other than Global will move the deformable body by the distance between the Point used to define the BCS and Global Origin.
