The menu bar, located just beneath the title bar, enables access to many types of functionality. Some menu options access panels, while other options may invoke a function in the tab area, or display a dialog that opens on its own.
There are two types of menu bars in HyperWorks Desktop: those that are considered HyperWorks Desktop menu bars, and those that are specific to the client that is currently active. HyperWorks Desktop menu bars are static and will not change, regardless of which application is active. Client menu bars will update to fit the active window.
The HyperWorks Desktop menu bar consists of the following options: File, Edit, View, Preferences, Applications, and Help. Functions in the HyperWorks Desktop menu bar that do not apply to certain clients are displayed, but disabled.
Client menu bars are explained in more detail in their respective user guides.
