The Connectors module contains several connector-specific panels that can be used to create and manage connectors.
The connector-specific panels are:
Spot |
Create spot welds and similar point connectors between 2D elements. |
Bolt |
Create bolt-type connectors. |
Seam |
Create line-shaped connectors. |
Area |
Create area-based connectors such as adhesives. |
Apply Mass |
Use a "dummy" connector entity to add mass to a part, or create areas of mass to represent parts not present in the CAD or FE data. |
FE Absorb |
Add (absorb) existing FE weld entities as realization to connectors. |
Add Links |
Add entities to existing connectors. |
Connector Imprint |
Imprints a certain 2D mesh pattern into underlying shell meshes. This functionality gives you the ability to manually resolve the mesh situation around conflicting mesh dependent (quad transition) connector realizations. |
Unrealize |
Remove existing welds. |
Compare |
Compares the model’s current connectors with a master connection file (*.mcf or *.mwf) so that you can quickly locate discrepancies.
Quality |
Perform FE quality checks on connector entities. |
Connector Options |
Global connector options. These options can also be accessed from the Spot, Bolt, Seam and Area panels. |
